"I believe in, and fiercely protect, the profound power and magic that our community possesses. As someone at the intersection of marginality, I understand and center the importance of uplifting our most vulnerable siblings as a means to uplift us all. My goal in life is to always live in my authenticity, speak up and speak out, and forever interrogate the space that I take up or take over. I am perpetually grateful for the space that softball has provided me and am energized by the idea that I will be a part of a change to move more people from the margins to the center. In the words of the Black, lesbian, feminist, socialist, mother, warrior, poet Audre Lorde 'I am deliberate and afraid of nothing'."
