TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Tournament Dates: May 24-25, 2008

# of Teams: 70 teams total, taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. A team is not considered registered until the full registration fee is received.

Divisions Offered: Competition will be offered in Open Divisions B, C Competitive, C Recreational, and D. All Women's divisions will be offered (A, B, C, and D), and the tournament is an ASANA Women's World Series Qualifier.
(All players may be placed according to the ratings rules and at the discretion of the tournament directors.)

Entry Fee: Registration will open on March 10th, 2008, and can be completed at the SFGSL website (http://www.sfgsl.org/). The entry fee per team is a non-refundable $400 if paid on or prior to April 27th, 2008. After April 27th, 2008, but prior to registration close on May 10th, 2008, the fee will be $450.

Please note that your registration is not complete and confirmed until we receive your tournament roster form and registration fee.

Registration Deadline: The deadline for registration is May 10th, 2008.

Waiting List: Teams attempting to register that were not among the first 70 will be placed on a waiting list in the order in which their information was received. As of April 27, 2008, any registered teams that have not sent in their entry fee may forfeit their spot, if teams on the waiting list submit their registration fee first.

Rosters: Team rosters may not exceed 18 players, along with one manager/coach, and one scorekeeper. Final rosters must be submitted at the time payment is made.
Note to all teams: All teams are required to have & submit their ASA registration cards to the tournament directors.

Ratings: Player ratings, using the NAGAAA rating system, must be submitted for each player on the roster. If a player has not received a new rating for 2008, their final 2007 rating must be used.

: The following team rating guidelines apply:

• Open B Division - total team rating (sum of the 10 highest rated players on the team) must be 170 or less. No player on the team may have an individual rating higher than 20.
• Open C Division - total team rating (sum of the 10 highest rated players on the team) must be 130 or less. No player on the team may have an individual rating higher than 14.
• Open D Division - total team rating (sum of the 10 highest rated players on the team) must be 100 or less. No player on the team may have an individual rating higher than 10.
• Women's Divisions - all are open to all. If there is limited interest, some women's divisions may be combined.
