Softball Players and Fans,

On behalf of the San Francisco Gay Softball League (SFGSL), we would like to welcome you to the official website for the 2008 Golden Bear Classic. This year's Classic will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 24-25, 2008 in the Napa Valley of California.

The tournament committee is hard at work to insure that this year's tournament lives up to the fun, excitement, and spirited competition that has defined previous Classics. With all games being played throughout the day on both Saturday and Sunday, you are assured of seeing some great softball, as well as to catch up with old friends from other cities

I am pleased to announce that this year's Classic has been named an ASANA Women's World Series Qualifier tournament, ensuring a great weekend of intense but friendly competition. All told, the Classic will offer competition in all divisions (Open B, C, and D, and Women's Competitive, Alternative, and Recreational). Registration is limited to a total of 70 teams, taken on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be sure to get your registration materials in early. On-line registration will open on March 10th, 2008.

The Classic is also pleased to announce that SFGSL member & Realtor VINCE BEAUDET at HERTH REAL ESTATE, have signed on as a sponsor and is going to refund one lucky team's registration fee. All teams that complete the registration process by April 27th, 2008 will be entered in a drawing to have their team registration fee refunded by Herth Real Estate! So register early for a chance to win.
